WTB: Door Latch

I need the door striker that is on the door for my drivers door. Mine is worn and the rotating assmbly is loose and the door will not shut properly. I don't know how complicated the whole assembly is inside the door (haven't looked at what is all involved to switch them) and I do not know if the doors are interchangeable but they look like it. If they are, I guess the rear doors would be ideal to get a latch/striker from. Anyway, if you are parting out a pig, let me know.

Your first picture of the striker, is part of alot, inside the door. You'll have to disassemble all the innards to get it out. Here's the only picture I have right now.

Was going to remove all the innards of the depicted door(s) to have plated for the 72.....in an attempt to keep up with you.

To remove the portion I believe OP needs, appears to be a chore, so figured I might as well gut all of these, cut the two skins in need for the 76 off and dispose of the carcasses.

So, I'll need to gut them to get this part he requested out?

Will advise once the surgery begins of what's coming with it.

Everything you see there in my picture, is one piece. All I can say, is keep one set of doors complete, so you can use as an example to rebuild. Alot going on in a door. Scares me, I can't remember diddly squat!

Considering I've three sets of doors, that's my plan.

I think they are marked left and right. The front is different than the rear, also.

I found it a chore to extract, even though the PO had added torched access holes from, what must've been, a previous fix for the lock.

Anyhow, it's out and ready to come your way.

The revolving part is nice and tight? Thats my issue.

and yes, the front drivers door is correct.

What kind of play are you feeling in yours?

The revolving star moves without slack, nor do I feel any in its attachment, but don't recall how this door worked when it was hung.

I thought I had a pic of mine....but the hole that guides the star while it rotates is now an oval. Its in bad shape. as long as the star stays where it should and rotates in a constant circle, I'm fine with that.
