Help!! My good buddy in Aspen Colorado is about to buy a Tahoe if we can't find him a suitable Cruiser. His budget is $20,000. No mods necessary - just looking for a well kept tank to barrel throught the mountains. Can we help him out? This is a very serious search and he is looking to buy NOW. The door is falling off his Heep.
Suprise. Suprise.

PM me with information. Hopefully we can find him something in Colorado.

Thank you in advance for all your help.

i have been seeing better deals on 100's than 80's lately. if i was going to spend 7k for a 200k 80, i would buy a 100k 100 series for 13ish, especially if it will see more road than off. just my .02:beer:

I live in Denver and spent the last two months looking for a quality 80 or 100 in the Denver Metro area. I looked at hundreds of rigs on-line, talked to 15-20 folks, and test drove 10 plus local rigs. Ultimately, I decided that it's tough to find quality cruisers here at a reasonable price, especially this time of year. In the end, I bought a 100 in Oregon that I learned of through this forum. The seller was great, the rig is fantastic, and getting the rig here was no problem. I flew a relative out and had him drive her home for a total of about $600. The 80 just posted by Syrinxstar looks very interesting.

*Bad* time of the year to buy a 100/80 in CO. Can he wait till the spring? You'll see a lot more options once the weather improves, and even more options when summer hits and the price of gasoline hits $4 a gallon.

I guess I have the impression from what I have read that the 80's are much more reliable than the 100's, that you are more likely to get over 200k from the 80's, and from the prices down here, I can't believe you guys are finding 100's in the 13k range, much more down here in atlanta

Not true, located several 98/99 for Under $14K. Just hoping to get a 2K and up. (in and around Atl)

I agree on prices being lower in the spring, or at least that is what I have heard. I plan to keep looking, but wait until the spring. (Need something by June.)

There were tons of rigs for sale last spring. April seems to be a good month to pick up a bargain. :)

Did you read the part in my initial post about the door on his Heep falling off? ;) That is a literal statement. And that's what the hurry is all about. I appreciate the input about better deals in the spring.
