Sir, you spool a winch like a boss!!! I'm going to have to employ your help respooling the 40 winch line.

I ws just thrilled that the winch worked after sitting in my shed for 2+ years

Didn't do much wrenching this Wed., but I found a new home for my brother's LC. After searching around for all the parts we could find and tying her down well on the trailer, David was on his way back to Chucktown! I think we placed it in a great home and hopefully he can get her up and running without too many problems. What was really surprising was that after not being started for over 2 years, the battery still had enough juice to turn over the engine! I'm not sure what kind of battery that thing has in it but I need to find out!!! Maybe David will let me know. Dbenke, keep us informed of the progress of the build!!! There are some bugs he's gotta work out but hopefully it won't be too bad!

Congratulations to Scott and David! Is that a bovine paint job?

It won't be white when I'm done.....
but we can call it the chick'n

Sliders built and installed. David did a lot of the work and design. I tried my hand at MIG welding flux, and I'm very thankful for the grinder, it can make any weld look good.

I think that's a complement

It's not the pins in the locker...I have a bad carrier bearing. Lots of steel in the fluid.going to try to source one locally...I'll get pics when I get it apart.
It must have been damaged when the axle snapped.
too close to GSMTR to find this.

Yea,they should, but I'm looking into options, I should have another carrier here with bearings that I can use

Yeah, makes sense. If you got 'em, use 'em. Will FJ40 carrier bearings fit the 62 axle? I assume they're the same... The Chicken is already making some donations to your wheeling cause!

On Saturday, I decided that I would get a replacement oil pan - in case the stock pan is leaking around the weld points of the skid plate - and called Hendrick Toyota to place an order at 1150AM. Parts arrived yesterday, and I picked them up today.

David - Now that Onur has headed west on his trip - don't hesitate to call Dan at Hendrick Toyota if you need to.

David/Erik--I'm in Memphis/north MS for my daughter's graduation and will be coming home Sunday. I'm not sure when Onur leaves, but I will be coming through Atlanta on Sunday and will be glad to mud-ship anything.
