No cruiser work today, but I re-newed the headlights on the caddy...took about an hour

before and after

David, you're getting all highfalutin on us with your Caddie and Mercedes. Looks good.

Since you broke the ice on off-topic, I'll throw one out. The power steering pump reservoir on my wife's Honda According is frothing out of the top cap. It's a frothy caramel color and I can't find a leak anywhere, so I'm assuming it's drawing air from somewhere. Any ideas?

Is it low on fluid? it will sometimes spin some air in the fluid if it has a leak.
It shouldnt be brown, either, it should be either red(trans fluid) or clear (p/s fluid). Darker would mean its getting too hot.

No, it will bubble out and I'll wait, then top it off and it'll bubble out again. it's not like a slow leak where I have to add fluid every few days. I'm afraid of driving it since it can't hold fluid.

Crank it, turn the wheels all the way one way and shut it off. this should get the air out.
it may take two or three times

I got the mothers kit. Bring it down on the 6th, we can take care of it.

Scott told us about a '91 at a salvage yard in Conway, so I went there after working in Murrells Inlet today. Like many 80 owners, I've had issues with the poser seats, so I pulled the manual seat rails, but they don't quite fit. I ordered mud flaps (the rare ones that don't have the running board mount, to be used with sliders) from a guy on Mud parting out a '94, but the guy took my money and never sent my mudflaps. So, I grabbed the mud flaps off of this truck only to find out the '91-92 don't fit. I'm really batting a 1000 here. Like most 80s, I have a nickel size rust spot below my back window, so I bought the liftgate for $150 since it's a color match, even though the clearcoat is peeling off of the top edge. They ran the item number and told me it matches my '94. I'll give it a shot when I have some good weather and plenty of patience.

No, it wasn't on the '91. I think we need to bid on and buy an 80 from one of the national auction houses that broker the insurance totals. We could park it at @CharlestonG8R house since he's already collecting LCs. When ever we need a part, we just go to Jeremy's, pull a part, knock on the window and leave a beer. I asked Rea, she's cool with it.

I started mocking up the front bumper this afternoon...got a few brackets welded, and set the steel and winch in place.
I still have a long way to go, but at least it's started
