Due to the very successful motor swap we did for PhishTaco thought another day get together for this spring might be in order and I'm offering up my shop to host a "Work Day".

When: Saturday March 18th 2006

Where: My Shop located off of Alum Creek Drive and E.Williams Road. Detailed directions with map will be provided later. Address is 3636 Behm Road for the Mapquest savvy.

What: Wrenching with no particular project planned yet. My shop is 2500 square feet with a loft the same size. Plenty of tools, engine hoist, welders, etc.

I'm supplying Brats and Burgers PLUS 1 KEG OF BEER and if each person could bring a side dish (just like we did the last on in September)

Side Note: 2 Hours of the day I will be over at TheRoc practicing and if anyone wants to join and check it out this is your chance. If your equipped and want to sign a Waiver you can drive.

Really looking foward to seeing you guys again, I have a home PUTER again and will stay on top of this thread for any Qs. etc.

Hope to see you there.

Mark

Count me in, I'll be there to help and just meet some people from this area. Hey Landwagon, spare some room and I'll bring your wheels if I haven't got around to that before the wrench day.

Yo, Beno
Ask Timmy if he needs my tube bender. This sounds like it could be a good wrench day.
Has anybody ever put graphics on a truck? I should have mine in by then. Anyhow, I'll be watching this post. Talk to you guys later.

Yeah, he said something about the tube bender Steve...though I don't recall in what context.

Yes, wrenching is good indeed. See you there Steve.

I may be able to make this, If its cool w/ everyone I could bring some seats and maybe we could fab up a cradle for them for the 40. Nothing too complex.

I can also provide comic relief.

I will be there one way or another!

good to see the interest guys, should be a lot of fun. We do have a nice metal scrap pile of tube, strap steel, plate, etc. if anyone needs that for a project. That's what it's there for.

PLEASE everyone bring a lawn chair.

:flipoff2: :grinpimp:

So what do we have in store for the wrenching?

My 80 series axle and maybe phh if we get to it? 165k is pretty good for the front axle and phh isn't it? ;)

You got your parts?

If so, let's tear it up. With a rotating shift, hell, we can have both done in less than half a day.

Then maybe some of you electricians can help me with my dual battery set up....

Later.

I'll have the parts :) I'll get all the axle stuff from Dan, should I get new trunion bearings? My rotors and pads are pretty damn new. I'll probably just order the phh stuff from that dude on the board.
Electrical and me never get along.

If you haven't done the front axle job and you know that the PO didn't do it (or not know if they did or not), I'd recommend them. Whether you use them or not. When we tear in there, we'll be able to see the condition of the bearings to see if there's any scoring or any other roughness.

PHH--yeah, easiest way to deal with it is to give him a PM.

Later.
