congrats on the truck... my wife has the exact same one white 2001 with the nav and monitors in the head rests ect... I have offered her a new car for the last 4-5 years and even when the engine blew up she said... "can't you just fix it" Yes... with 172k the radiator split while I was driving it... and i assume blew a head gasket... I replaced it with a 82k engine... and she lives on... hope you enjoy yours as much as we have ours... after years of BMWs & Porsches this is by far her favorite...

Congrats again on the purchase. Looks really clean.

IIRC there isn't necessarily a speed limit on the CDL.

Just sounds like it isn't engaging.

I read the owners manual pretty thoroughly and I don't remember seeing anything about a speed limit with the CDL locked.....maybe it's written on some other literature or maybe I missed it.....but I dont remember seeing anything.

Anyway, I'm going to make an appointment to get a baseline inspection done at my local dealership. The dealer I bought it from hooked me up with a free 3 month 5,000 mile warranty, so I was thinking I'd take it to the dealership to get their eyes on it and make a list of everything they see needing repair, and repaire accordingly based on the details of the extended warranty.

I asked this question a few posts up, but got no response:

The closest lexus dealership to me is 200+ miles, while there is a Toyota dealership 10 miles from me. Obviously all the LC guys get their service done at the Toyota dealership so I don't see any potential issues....but are there any special nuances that warrant service at the lexus dealership hundres of miles away vs. the toyota dealer here in town?

Not really. Let them know you are well aware it's a rebadged LC with a few nuances so they don't try to tack on the Lexus Tax. Only thing I've run across is some Toyota dealerships have limited experience with AHC while others aren't phased by it. Most aren't phased by it but I did have one that wouldn't order AHC fluid for me as they had never heard of it... That has been a few years though in fairness. The only other item I can think of that Toyota guys usually don't mess with is the Lexus retracting steering column. Mostly because they just don't want to deal with it from what I hear!

My book doesn't give a top speed while the CDL is locked, just states your able to use it in 4h or 4l depending on conditions.. Unless I am not reading it right..
