For 1500, do it. I may be interested in buying a few parts if you go that route.

Like:

Drivers side ABS harness
rear axle shafts
maybe a few engine parts.

Bowtie, let me know if you do it and want to part it.

If it all works out I plan on getting it next week.... I will let you know

So are you planning on parting it out? Seems a shame to part out a running Land Cruiser. As for the rust I bought a FJ40 twenty years ago with two small rust spots in the back. Twenty years later and they haven't grown. Won't want a rusted cruiser as a DD but as toy is a different story. This one would have been a good hunting cruiser for me a our cabin. One day I come across one.

If they look ok the lockers nay be going in my LX.....or I am thinking about throwing a 40 body on it??? I am picking it up this week so I will just need to see how it looks.

Finders cost is the drivers side mirror :) need to get rid of the 'shakes'

Thats only fair :grinpimp:

Guy was cool when I called him. I decided to tow it back so I am lining up a tailer.

I remember a thread about a guy trying to graft a 40 body on an 80 chassis on MUD and had a huge following (including me). Unfortunatley it got quite far along then died.

That would be one heck of a rig~

Agree, the 80 pool is getting thin. Clean it up and sell it whole. Find a wrecked one to part out.

On the way to Tucson

Now open to offers....just tried the lockers and they work great...would be a shame cut it up and part it out...due to your care to save the Cruiser race you two get first dibs. :grinpimp:

Thoughts?

But really I need to look it over better but here is the options...

1. Swap axles (and other stuff) to my LX and flip the LC non locked.
2. Clean it up and sell it locked...we all know folks pay lots of $$ for that little locker switch :)
3. Pull axles part the rest.
4. Part body and engine, keep chassis for a "project". 40 body, Hilux body, buggy build ????
5. Let it sit so the pack rats can eat it :)

Dropped a battery in it and damn thing fired right up after 8 months..engine runs great and lockers even work :)
Body is nice if it wasnt for some minor rust...would make a great hard core off roader!

I believe Rob already has a 80 and only giving a opinion as top saving a running 80 series. I personally wouldn't mind have a 80 series but if your planning on flipping it for a huge profit that wouldn't be to me. If your serious about selling what is your price? I have a car hauler and tow vehicle ready. Probably tow it back to the valley and let Murf's guys take a look at it. Advantage I have is no emissions in N. AZ.

I forgot I even have a almost perfect leather steering wheel from a 94 I picked up many years ago for my FJ45. Since I'm going to use a late model 40 series steering I have a good steering wheel available for it.

Have a 97 so I wouldn't be interested. Good to see you're open to offers for the needy, LC less crowd.
