The 420SEL is FINALLY ready to pickup. Man we've missed the old girl.
The Business Suit (nickname) has been in the shop for about 6 weeks.
Total renovations. New Michelin highspeed casings and powder coated
alloy wheels. New rotors and calipers. New power reclining rear seat.
Motor overhaul. Tranny overhaul. It's all good. Detailing just got finished.
The fzj 80 (Coach) will appreciate some help on the daily driver duties. :grinpimp:
The fj40 (Gundy) is good to go with a new fuel pump.
Next up....the fj60 (Big) gets some TLC. Header and Weber. It sure has been a workhorse
on the cabin restore job. It's hauled 13 5x8 trailer loads of stuff to the dump.

just for you pal

First is the door switch. Note seat pic on switch. One on each rear door.
Rear passengers also get a wireless remote control of the stereo system.
:grinpimp:
2nd pic is seat in retracted or normal position.
3rd pic is seat extended in "recline position".
Seat bottom moves forward about 6 inches and the seat back follows into
a more "relaxed" position.
4th pic is The Business Suit just back from shop all tucked away.
5th pic is rear of car showing The Cabin porch....a.k.a. The Hooger House.
Note the SEL is longer than the fzj80.

Looks like there been some progress on the mancave in the background there too.

I dont know if you get this channel out there but on DIY network theres a show called man caves and they do cigar rooms and bar rooms and stuff really cool show.

Yeah, I've seen that show. Neat stuff. That was my idea for the cabin....WAS...
till Lynn got all inspired.
Now it's more of a restoration project. No power, no plumbing. Primitive all the way.
Think buttermilk churn on the back porch (that's the back porch in pic) #3 washtub
on the wall. Rocking chairs and a spittoon on the front screen porch.
Braided rugs. One big room.
Jugs and pottery inside. Bent willow/twig furniture. Old shotgun over mantle of fireplace.
Old family pics on the walls. The outhouse is ready. The well is getting a hand pump.
This Saturday I'm hoping to score a coon skin cap at the Coon Dog Days in Saluda. :grinpimp:
Still a place where guys can be guys, but no pool table or big screen TV. :(
Beer etc will need a cooler. Cigars welcomed. I'm working on a deal for an old
windup phonograph. ;)

You need a horseshoe pit somewhere

I need to re-till the one in front of the pear tree. The grass has covered the
pits I once made. Expect the court to be prepared come 2nd Saturday in Oct.
Thanks for the reminder. There may be a trophy involved.
After a hayride and pulling on a jug or two the horseshoe tossing can get
dangerous. That's why it's located on one of the lower lawns away from the
house and parked cars AND passers by.
Maybe some target shooting afterwards. How about a T shirt that proclaims
"I survived the Pumpkin Party at Hooger House". Yeee Haaa :grinpimp:

Time for you to lay the law down David, its a MAN CAVE! The only reason women should be in there is if they are cooking, cleaning, or providing some other essential task. :censor:

Well....I kind of like her idea too. Real men don't need no stinking power or plumbing.
I can't believe the ladies will want to hang out where there is an outhouse for a powder
room, no heat/air and lamps for lighting. :grinpimp:
LOL...the sweet smell of cigars and corn squeezings should also help on that front.
Country boys can survive and know how to party! :hillbilly:
