It's a diesel right????
Are you sure your truck has an ecu? Did you have the old part in your hand. I'm looking at my drawings and looking at the same page gnob shared. As far as I know I think the 1kz is an old style stupid diesel that does all the on/off and timing magic with the fuel pump. All the ecu stuff I'm seeing references gasoline engine 22r.
From what I can tell the fuel cut off solenoid is connected by a black and yellow wire to electric connector EG8, to 7.5A ignition fuse, to ignition switch.
Glow plugs are nice but not exactly necessary. My opinion on pre-heating timer in this scenario.
Did you try the starter fluid? Diesels fail to run if that fuel cut off solenoid does not get power, air in the fuel lines (were fuel lines disconnected, injectors replaced, filter renewed, did it ever run out of fuel?), timing is off on fuel pump, or lack of compression. If you turn the key and get some starter fluid in it and the engine runs, that proves you have compression. Keep it running on starter fluid and maybe all the air works it's way out of the fuel system. Other than that was the fuel pump removed? Timing should be ok if it never came out. Be cautious with the starter motor; all this cranking will burn one up. I learned this the hard way. This is why I learned to use the fluid. Some people just use a spray bottle filled with some fuel.
I'll pop the hood on my truck and see if I can locate any ecu. I'll look at the engine to verify or prove false my claims. Might even try and make it run of starter fluid with 7.5A fuse pulled.
I think we have the same truck? 94 kzn130? With 3L 1KZ-TE. I really want your truck to run. Again, good luck.
