I just installed a TJM T3 Classique bullbar. I disconnected the negative battery cable prior to installation and when I finished and put the cable back on, the truck won't start. At first I got nothing, then started getting a clicking noise.

Can anyone help? How could the installation of a bull bar cause the truck not to start?

battery cable

Check to see battery cable is secure and clean. Will it start if you jump it?

Hmm, well it starts with a jump. I drove around for a bit to charge the battery back up, but it will not start on it's own. Any advice???

Sounds to me like something else came loose in the process.

Just got back from the Toyota dealership with a new battery and everything is back to normal. The battery was only a little over a year old so they gave me a new battery. Cool thing is they gave me a better one than I had. Thanks for the help.

not sure how you killed that battery, thats wierd, must have shorted it out somehow. Can't see how if only the ground was off.

Yaa interesting  , did the dealership say what the battery tested or what the possible cause was?

Nope, they didn't even test it. It's a mystery, because the battery was fine until this.
