Just got my first set of SK impact swivel sockets. Any protips on when to use these vs my regular fixed impact sockets?

Also, any thoughts on:

Fixed extension + swivel socket

Vs

Swivel extension + fixed sockets

I never really saw the need until I started working on my Bobcat mini-excavator…

As for use, basically go for them when you can’t get a normal socket on something - you’ll know when you get to it. ;)

Similarly for when to use the swivel before the extension or after - you’ll know when you need to use one and when to use the other. ;)

Have a set of Snap-on wobble sockets that I bought second-hand for pretty cheap; love them. Don't use them all the time, but when you need one for a tight space they are far superior to a u-joint or other methods of reaching tight spaces.

Your thinking too much. Let the moment tell you what tool to use grasshopper !

Wear eye protection when using on a impact
Actually full body armour would be a good suggestion
Them suckers will sling bolts clear across the shop
But atleast it's only the nut or bolt not the socket too
Like with a swivel

I use mainly my snap-on wobble sockets for everything I do on these trucks. The trick I have found is that to get max torque, you want to keep the socket as straight as possible.

Mine have lasted almost 10 years now and will probably last another 10 of daily use.
