with or against replacing tranny oil for 04+ LC/LX?

FWIW, I changed my transmission fluid to AmsOIL Synthetic (their WS rated fluid) as part of my baseline when I bought my LC. 100,000 miles later and I haven't had any issues with it. I'd also recommend against having the transmission power flushed for the reasons stated in earlier posts (chance for contamination with non WS fluid and flushing crap up into your valving most especially).

I used Bamachem's method located here: https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/picking-up-an-07-uzj-on-monday.461883/page-6#post-6465209 and that seemed to get most of the old fluid out.

If a flush machine still has some residual fluid (say dexron 3) Its not going to hurt anything to mix it. At most it would have like half a quart to a full quart, not a big deal when your talking 15-20 quarts. And it only works one way, so the new fluid tank always gets flushed in, and the old tank always gets the stuff flushed out.

Another write-up for the same procedure here (this is the one I followed):

Easy enough to do every couple years.

what i did was i opened the overflow plug after i started the car right away since i can't get to the right temperature, any ideas?
