I have read where CCOT is the Wal-Mart for parts for our machines. Kind of aggravating since I just ordered weather stripping and stainless bolts from them the past couple of days. I "was" really intrigues by there HFS suspension but after reading so many negatives about this company I feel I may need to look elsewhere for suspension. Does anyone have an opinion on HFS spring and shocks?

CCOT

I have purchased parts from them over the years and have had pretty good luck. Just like SOR some stuff is great and some is not so great.

Weather stripping is still available for the FJ40 from dealers - Cruiser Dan is a good source, but you can't get the wing window on one side (forget which).

That's when you use SOR or COTT because they have it as aftermarket.

At the end of the day - COTT calendar makes it a good place to support.

I ordered and installed the HFS 4" lift with shackles....I was lucky and did not have any problems with the ordering....items actually came to my door pretty quickly...I even got a very deal from them.... I am satisfied with the lift...no fitment issues....rides like I expected....no rusting of the leafs....bushings fit without issue. The only thing which is my fault is I did not put in the correct castor shims right away...

ccot hfs

I purchased a 4" Hfs kit for my 82BJ 42 . It went on ok, bushings were a little tight, but fit ok with a little trimming. The springs lengthen the wheelbase a bit and the emergency brake cable wont fit unless you remove the clamp by the transfer case. It still works, though I have to move the clamp mount an inch or so aft. I plan to someday. I am very satisfied with CCOT everything came as promised, no issues , fit as expected, and the ride improved tremendously! I have purchased lots of pieces from them , again no problems. Some things are a little lighter duty than oem parts but overall I have to say I like their stuff. Tim

I purchased the HFS lift and shackles for my 62 and was very happy with the system. I have and will continue to recommend this lift for others with a 62. I would expect the same for the 40 kit.

How about their new shocks?

I also have the 4' hfs lift with shackles awesome suspension not displeased at all.Been to pismo and Holister
and i think I've had to address everything except the springs they ride nice for a short wheel base.

I have the same color Cruiser. i love yours. Gives me a good idea what mine could look like. what size tires are those? What size shackles?

How about their new shocks?

I chose not to order the shocks with the kit. There were rub issues with the drag link that others had posted about.
I bought some bilstien 5125's locally and am happy with the ride.
Also, no rub issues. :D

I haven't had any issues with CCOT. I have been pleased. I don't know much about the HFS lifts.

Check out Hell Creek Suspensions though. I just installed a 4" spring lift on mine and it's great! Kit includes Rough Country shocks for less than $600!

The H.C. Kit is made for stock shackles. I am using 2" shackles in the picture below. I might reduce them to 1-1/2" in the future.

I am very pleased!

Who posted that?

Have the person who posted the negatives on the HFS post a picture of thier rig with the HFS on it or a copy of the invoice when they bought the system.

Generally, when you get down to complaints about a product. One person had the comlaint and 10 people repeated that one persons complaint.
