I don't really like it ... I like the hardtops and am sick seeing chevy motors in these things, when it's just as much to drop a nice diesel in there ...

Well I can certainly appreciate that feeling toward it, this particular FJ has lost some of its identity with the Chebby in it. And it will never be a good candidate for a restoration to its original state. The point might have been lost which is for very little money it is ready to go wheeling and it's half way decent albeit with the rusty and bubbling floor pans and all, but has a decent transmission, 4" lift, fairly new top and what looks to me like a decent tire carrier. There's an ambulance hard top and doors for sale locally I've been considering but not sure if I want a hard top. No good place to store it in the summer and I hate hard tops in the summer.
