Hi, I'm not sure if this is in the right forum but I couldn't think of anywhere else to put it (other than the FJ40 forum).

Anyways, I want to install some rear running lights and side marker lights on my FJ40 (it doesn't have them), and I want them to be controlled by the same switch as the headlights are.

I was wondering if I could just run a wire from my headlight to the side marker/running lights (that I'm planning on installing) in the rear of the vehicle? Basically, can I just hook up the side markers/running lights in series with my headlights, or would this cause problems (i.e. draw too much current and start blowing fuses, or decrease the current flow and cause everything to be a little dimmer -- I know that V = IR and if you increase the resistance (add more lights/signals/wires) while keeping voltage constant (I'm guessing that the cars voltage is kept at a relatively constant ~12-13V by the alternator) the current has to decrease)?

Anyways, any insight into this (or suggestions on a better way to accomplish my goal) would be great.

Thanks,
Rob
