Given a truck with various modifications and add-ons etc, and even a engine swap.

Anyone have any first hand experience or knowledge of wiring harness labels or tags....notably ones that would survive under hood heat / mud / water etc... is there such a thing?

For example you setup a relay to power your A/C fan clutch that taps off the OEM wire....and then of course you do other things.... and one day you have a nest of crap ant it would be great to have some type of label/tag to place on the wire such that later you can reference that should something happen or you have to pull stuff apart etc. Yes its obvious what some wires do or you can determine that failry easy....but over time the "cool stuff" you've done gets out of control. This would be for wires under the hood.

thanks for the feedback.....I knew they made some stuff for network wiring etc...in general terms. I'm wondering if that stuff would tolerate underhood temps and exposure to water/mud. I'm thinking of doing some type of under hood switch type thing and I may resort to just making notes as to whatever plugs into circuit XX is for XXX. (spod or something similar), bouncing ideas around in vaccum chamber between my ears. I'm about to the point to be motivated to clean up the wiring to some level and then its goign to be whatever it is....without creating a fire hazard.
