This is for a late 1973 wiring harness. For the life of me I can not identify the following connectors. Any help would be appreciated. I have coolerman's wiring diagrams and have searched till my head hurts.

First connector is under the dash and I believe is the connector for the front drive switch. The wire colors are: R, B, BY, LY

The second connector is on the passenger firewall. I have no clue.
The wire colors are: R, B, B

The third connector is next to the second one on the passenger side firewall. I think it goes to some ignition component.
Wire colors are: B, BY

Thanks

Guess everyone is afraid to venture a guess. Even me. Did you track down the other end of the wire to get a general idea of the termination location?

Just saw this -I have a January 74.. I will take a look tomorrow afternoon and track it down and shoot you a PM if you haven't gotten an answer yet.

first connector: Red wire travels to bundle of red wires that go the the heater fuse, the BY goes to unknow connector 3, B goes to unknown connector 2, and LY goes to a connector I assume connects to thereat wiring harness.

Hope that helps

You need to contact Coolerman. He's the electrical expert, has all of the original connectors, builds and sells early model harnesses. If its electrical, he knows it.

Look at a 74 schematic, it shows all these connectors.

The first connector is indeed the front drive switch. Don't see those often.
The second connector goes to The front drive relay this is part of the front drive switch circuit.
The third connector goes to a vacuum switching solenoid. I don't know WHAT it switches but it is possibly ignition related. A smog schematic may show this valve.

HTH's!

SWEET JEBUS! 6 hours of searching and I finally stumbled across this thread. I have a 5/73 wiring harness and these three connectors have had me stumped all week.

Guess I'll have to look at the '74 schematic. The '73 certainly doesn't list these connections. Coolerman, are you saying the '74 diagram on your website shows these connectors?
