I have a 1992 BJ73 which is the Salvadore Caetano version (yes I know ugh!!!). I live in the US and as anyone who owns one of these that parts are pretty much extinct. I did touch base with VMi engine manufacturer but they aren't much help. I'm looking for a wiring schematic for this vehicle with the VM-95A 4 cylinder engine. I have manuals form the 70 series but nothing with this VM engine. I am replacing the VM engine with a 2012 5L-E engine that a friend had shipped to the States when his Prado hit an IED. The engine only has 800 kilometers on it and parts are readily available. Of course I will be installing a turbo on it so I will have my work cut out for me trying to figure out the ECU wiring as I do not have any of the wiring past the firewall. I know I can do a standalone ECU but the cost is over $5,000.00 US. Well any help would be greatly appreciated.
