wiper and washer not working

My dads 93 4runners front wiper squirter does not work nor does the front intermittant setting. Also nothing works in the back, no wiper no washer!
IN the front the med and high speed work though.
Any ideas??? I checked the fuse. It was brought to a shop and they could not find anything.
Dad is going to take it to toyota, i bet it will cost an arm and a leg!

follow your wiring, looking for shorts or the switch itself

The washer issues is easy. Remove the bottle and bench test the pump. Or if it is accessible on the truck, remove the harness and take two leads off of the battery. The intermittant issue could be a bad relay or a bad switch. The rear can also be tested by hooking into a direct power source (motor testing) and obviously you know that if your front is not squirting your rear will not either.
