the problem is percieved understanding.
you draw a line across the map and you might have the legal right to run studs in Ontario. legality and PITA cop are two seperate life changing events.
here is the thing, cop pulls you over for what ever. he is having a bad day. he sees your studs and cites you for infraction. you pull out the map and show him he is wrong. now you are embarassing him and he starts doing the walk around, ticket after ticket OR he just gives you the ticket and tells you to talk to the judge as he has a tow truck haul away your "illegal" vehicle.
you are in the right but now you and your old lady, 2 dogs and 4 kids are sitting on the side of the road. the dogs are barking, the old lady is giving you the look, the kids are whining.
legality and percieved are not the same thing in real life. sure, you sue the cop which gets thrown out of court, you lose time of work, you bring stress into your life, just isn't worth it.

you have to take into consideration how far you want to fight this.

me, i stick my ice radials on and drive carefully.

just remember, it wasn't the respectful driver that caused the baning of studs. it was the ignorant minority that screwed it for the mases.

Do you know something I don't? Or are you just thinking that inevitably it is going to happen?
