I'm having Toyota Glass put in today, very pricy at $370something for the glass...

Please tell me I'm an idiot and I can get new glass for alot less, I want it done right, so I went with OEM glass, but if this happens again soon, I'm not spendind that much to redo it all over.

How much does the PPG glass run?

Not sure on the price of the PPG. I just had mine done and went with a company that dealt with my insurance (glass claims aren't supposed to count against you on your policy). My out of pocket cost was $150 with lifetime guarantee on leaking or damage from installation. The glass says Pilkington and I'm not sure if this is quality glass or not, although they said it was (like they would say othewise). I am very happy with it and glad I didn't have to put out the $300 I was quoted elsewhere. Cascade Auto Glass

If you are interested PM me, I have a card that may give an additional discount because I am a referring customer.

Nope nothing in SoCal, norcal only. Thanks anyways.

I paid $209 a week ago here in Colorado to have my glass and gasket (thanks to a %#@%$ glass shop back in the mists of time that glued in the factory gasket!!!) replaced. Without the gasket, the job would have been about $90 cheaper. I believe the glass is Pilkington. Seems fine to me.

The glass seems somewhat high. I got my gasket and glass replaced by harmon glass and it cost about $300. If I were to do it again I would have bought OEM products. I thought you could get Toyota glass cheaper. I may be wrong. I know it's cheap for a 40, ~150. I'm happy with the job they did, and the quality of the glass.

There are a lot of posts about this subject. Try doing a search to get more info. It is NOT an easy job putting in the glass. Make sure they are well qualifed. It takes a lot to make sure and not get wrinkles in the headliner when the glass and gasket pop in. Good luck.

Again, try a search, you'll find a lot on this subject.
