Hey Guys, I did a search on this but didn't find what I was looking for…lots of information on wind noise and dash rattles, but not what I'm looking for. Anyway, we just got back from a trip from UT to NorCal for spring break and on those long drives on I-80 with high crosswinds I was getting a rattle, more like a buzz really, from the windshield trim channel on the driver side. I checked it out, it has 4 or 5 screws in it (sound like it should be rivets from other threads) and the were tight. At least, as tight as I wanted to try them while on the road.

Anyway, since I got home I've checked them again and they are as tight as I dare make them, afraid to strip them out, but I still have the rattle/buzz. Anyone else experience this? Any ideas appreciated.

Check the small rubber trim above the windshield. See if it is loose. I had one that would buzz at about 70mph. I ended up putting a little trim glue under the loose spot and it stopped the buzz.

After my windshield was replaced, I had a good rattle where the drip trim/channel meets the plastic just at the back of the hood on the passenger side. Entire channel was a little loose, so I used some silicone caulk and duct tape on the bottom 2-3".

Thanks, I'll have a look at where it's loose and apply glue/caulk/duct tape where applicable. Now if I can just work in some bailing wire :)
