I have this star chip on my windshield that I think is actually getting a little bigger since I got the truck.

How is Safelite auto repair with that injection molding stuff?
How do I got about the whole thing with insurance etc since I don't want a whole new windshield.

Yea I was just on safelite's site and it asks if you want to file a claim or not etc etc. I'll have to schedule something and see how it goes.

thanks

Howdy! Got a major crack in my windshield right after I bought my rig. Insurance covered it 100$. Couple of months later I got a star/chip. Insurance covered that too. No $$$ out of pocket. Got to have "glass coverage". I can still see a little bit of the chip, but it is not growing. All done by Safelite. John

Here in Arizona rock chips are very common. I've had numerous chips on several cars repaired at Safelite with great results. I would recommend calling your insurance company first - they will have preferred providers they will set you up with.

Call your insurance first...

I had a crack in my truck that I took to a crack repair shop... The crack was fixed and never expanded further. Unfortunately, I called my insurance after I had it fixed and they wouldn't cover it for one reason or another. Had I called them first and followed protocol, I think it would have cost me $10 rather than $80... Bummer.

Chips and cracks are usually easily fixed and they'll let you know if it can't...

thanks all, will do
