I am in the North Texas area and want to get my 2004 LX470 (no NightView) Windshield replaced.

Who did you use or would you recommend NOT using?

I was hoping to work with a local shop that a fellow Mudder would recommend.

Had mine replaced today. Original OEM came out, bit out surface corrosion on driver side that we coated with a little POR and then primered the rivet holes before new rivets were inserted. My local Cruiserhead garage recommended the installer. Express Auto Glass out of White Bear Lake, MN. Lynn (male) is the owner and did the install with his apprentice Dustin. Awesome work.

Insurance would not cover an OEM windshield. Lynn (owner) said that he hasn’t had an issue with the PGW glass provided the install is clean. And this is the first original windscreen he has replaced in several years.

nice pics and thanks for that info!

Lynn did my truck back in 21’. I had the rivets and trim handy. He also did some touch up work since my glass was installed too low so water pooled in the upper trim.

I still need to pester insurance to see if they will cover Lexus glass since the glass Lynn put in has a chip in it now.

Insurance Co., must cover OEM glass, when it's NightView (NV). Unless they can find aftermarket with proper camera mount. Which I'd like to hear about, if one available.

I've never seen any windshield shop, do a by the book (FSM) install, with all OEM parts.
The best installer is in SoCA. Even he, isn't by the book and could do things (mostly some tool choices) a little different. But by watching him and reading up in mud on windshields (see my Master thread). You'll have a good idea, of what to ask and look for.
