I'm trying to use Kryger Glass right now and I'm hitting a roadblock. It must be a communication thing and I'm sure I'm coming off as an a$$ that it must be my way or the highway.

I'll let you all know if they end up doing it for me or not.

I need to sand, clean, and paint my windshield opening after the glass is removed and before the new one is installed because the PO had the glass replaced and the installer scratched all the way around the frame and I have rust bubbling on the frame and I'm not sure how deep it goes, but I know my current windshield leaks.

I have requested that they use a Toyota gasket, Sika sealant and primer, and I have asked for Pilkington or Fuyao glass.
They tell me Pilkington is not available in this area. OEM is not available at all (I knew that).
They use Dow sealants. I have requested he advise the actual product numbers so I can cross reference to the Sika products.
They are going to see what they can do and let me know.
He already told me once that he didn't think they could work with this because of the rust issue and the specific requests.
I told him fine, then I will go elsewhere, but I started with them due to the recommendations given by other local LC folks.

I also advised that I can provide him with FSM procedures because these are known to leak if the procedures are not followed.

I don't have warm fuzzy feelings about them at this point.

I get your concerns.

I have provided them with the Toyota OEM gasket, so that should not be an issue.

We have had them do at least 4 80 series rigs there using their sealant, with no issues, so not sure that should be a sticking point.

in regard to the repair work, I would take the glass out yourself, do the repair and then take it in with your ski goggles on! But I need a picture of that....

[Adam's] Toyota [Lee's Summit] says they won't ship OE glass to an installer and the part is no longer available online. Adam's said they work with Safelite (uff, their failed repair is what got me into this situation) and Kevin of Invictus Glass. Invictus Auto Glass LLC - https://invictusautoglassllc.com/contact-us

Just got off the phone with Kevin and he seems really flexible. Bonus that he's one guy, so the person you talk to on the phone is the person who does the install. I think this is the one.

Kryger glass (95th&Metcalf) did mine and I provided them with a Toyota seal. I would have them do it again, no question.

Invictus worked out great, too. Would recommend.
I would too. On my 100 series, they came out quickly, took their time, used rivets, and at $275 was a great deal. He even came back the next day and fixed some wind noise from a molding.
