Windows rattle when open about 1"

I tried the search but found nothing. I noticed that if I just crack the windows about a 1 inch or less that they rattle annoyingly. If they are opened further the rattle goes away. Could this be just wear on the tracks or is it more likely the mechanism hardware? Anybody have any experience with this and did you fix it?

Noticed today my passenger side rattles any time it's only partially open. My guess is the hardware. Anyone happen to have a pic of what the mechanism etc looks like?

proabably the run channels on the window.
take of the interior trim panel and remove the vapor barrier, you will see the window regulator and at the fornt and back of the door you will see window tracks. should be a bolt on the upper and lower of each of these (10mm IIRC) snug these down first if that doesnt work chekc the regulator assembly and then the stripping inside the runs. most likely is the runs but coule be the regulator also.
