Window Won't Roll Up

Driver's side window on 72 FJ will roll up until it's about 2-3" from the top so it's hitting something. I pull ed off the small rectangular panel on the door and attempted to lubricate whatever I could reach. It's definitely hitting something inside the door. Anyone run into this and are there any tricks to removing the window or breaking it free without doing more harm?

how are the felt runners?
do you have the passenger side window regulator in the driver door?
if you remove the regulator can you push the window all the way to the top?

Vehicle has been sitting for a long time so likely not any felt left. I'm digging into the manual and I'm not sure how to tell if I have the passenger regulator in the driver's door. Thanks
