The bronze window are impossible to match and I was about to throw in the towel and put a tint on that was somewhat close. A local shop has a new ceramic tint that is almost not a tint, not dark at all, but keeps out a major amount of heat and looks pretty damn good. I'd rather it be darker but don't want it to look like crap. Watcha think?

That looks great Jrob80! The heat here, like most of the country right now, is Brutal and I was sick of getting sun fried through the minifying glass window. I have had ceramic tint on previous windows and it does an amazing job of keeping out the UV and heat, not to mention the scratch resistance. When I did the hot light in a box tick, this stuff performed better than some of their darkest regular tint so I jumped on it. Not cheap, I paid $120 for both front windows and that was beating them down from $150. I can already tell a difference in how the AC cools the Cruiser more efficiently.

Its so light that I want to get the whole windshield done.....but that aint happ'nin!

Here is another shot from a different angle:

I put that ceramic tint on my home...as it absorbs and dissipates the heat...larger the window the better it works...but is expensive.

I think the stuff that matched good was Llumar Bronze ATR in 35% or 20% BR SR HPR

someone else used Llumar Platinum Plus F2 PP 35% but it was replaced with a Silver series so not sure if available any longer.

If I got my notes right when I copied this a month or two ago...

I gave up searching for matching window tint. I have a eye problem and cannot drive without sun glasses. I found myself loosing glasses and them being uncomfortable. I took my truck to the shop and asked if they could match the 2000 rear window tint. They looked at it and said it would be hard, real hard. I didn't want two weird tint colors so I just opted for near black out. I really enjoy it, all my tint is UV, ceramic (whatever that means), 86% heat rejection, and is extremely nice in the day time.

My eyes are super sensitive as well, it's why I've got so many sunglasses and all my windows tinted.

Several of us jumped on the 80 series thread where the guy was selling sections of a roll of film. I called every legit tint shop in Birmingham, Montgomery, and Huntsville and not one of them carries the bronze tint. One of them had some leftover bronze but it didn't match. People are having to order an entire roll of the film and selling the extra to recoup some of their money.

Here's mine.
The tint matches perfectly in most light

Under some light conditions, the rear mirrored bronze tint looks more mirrored than bronze, but even the tint installer said he's never seen a better match for the odd toyota tint.

Big thanks to gixxin for going through all the trouble to get the tint out to us. I appreciate it!

That tint looks good, how good is it at keeping the heat out?

Has anybody used the 20% Llumar Bronze ATR? I wonder if it would be an even closer match to the rear windows although possibly not legal. All that I have seen photos of are with the 35%.
