dude, what the f@$K is up with my windows on my 93 cruiser! for the second time in about a month, my second window has popped out of the window engine bay, and know refuses to go up and down, so once again i have to take the door panels off and put the window back into the window engine frame so it can work properly- it all started when winter came along, i noticed that the cold weather made the windows move up and down way slower than normal operation. than all of the sudden one day, i tried to lower the rear left window on my cruiser, and bam the window fell off the engine frame. so i then fixed it the next day ( it was a bitch placing the window onto the frame) and that was that. well, today while lowering window (front right) the same s*** happened, i was hella pissed-ruined my day( i knew i had to work on it the next day)! so tommorrow, i got my little project  , i was wondering if anyone else has had this problem, if so why does this happen? what can be done to prevent this from occuring again? thanks for any help. robert.

Do you mean the little plastic wheel comes off the track and its stuck half way or it falls? This happend to my 94 a couiple years back. If you watch the action the wheel rolls inside the track back and forth, at mid way up/dow nthe wheel nears the end of rail - mine was falling off. You can adjust this rail over or epoxy a small metal L - bracket to keep this little wheel from falling off.

Same thing used to happen to me several times when I had my 94 FZJ. I got pretty good at replacing that sucker.

Try lubricating the channels somehow.

Some people have used silicone glue in and on the rubber gasket to keep it in place -- or to prevent it from happening again. The downside to this is that it the rubber gasket might be unusable if you have to replace the window glass. The last time I fixed it, I used rubber cement. I figured I could rub it off the gasket if I had to -- I just wanted something that would make the gasket a little tackier so it wouldn't slip out as easily.

It really sucked when it happened to me...always seem to be when it was raining

Another thing to do while you have everything apart is to lube up the wheels/rollers that slide on the channel. It might help some.

the same thing happened to me and after a couple of tries fixing it outside in the rain, the thread below tells how I finally fixed it. maybe overkill but it worked. Silicone in the window track did not work and it seemed to me it was the window going out of the track that was pulling the little wheel out, not the other way around.. Part of the problem is definitely the adjustment of the regulator arm.
