I am thinking about putting a winch on my truck and I have a couple of questions.
I am considering an arrangement to have a hitch receiver in the front - so I could attach the winch fore and aft if I wanted to. I would also not have to carry the winch and a bull bar full time - reducing weight (so increasing gas milage) - and making the truck easier to park etc.
Question:
What size winch do I need for light recovery work? I would be pulling my truck (or someone else's truck) if it was stuck in mud or snow. I would like to keep the size and weight of the winch down so that I can attach and carry it easily.
What does a winch and bull bar combination weigh if I were to attach it to the front?
Suggestions?
Thanks,
Jeb
