I am in the middle of fitting a 8274 in my non-winch ARB bar. The fair lead is not here yet and I am very pressed for time. So does anyone know the hole size for a normal sized fairlead for synthetic winch rope? I am talking about the inside size. I am not concered about the mounting holes because I can drill that with the ARB on the truck. It would save me a lot of work to just cut the slot in the front of the ARB now...

if anyone has a minute of time to measure yours or would have the number off the top of there head it would help me out a great deal..

thanks,
-Al

Just off the top of my head,, I'd say the opening of the groove in a Hawse Fairlead is 3/4 -7/8

You're going to want to cut the hole in your bumber bigger though....

Wait til someone else chimes in with the exact #

Yo Brah. My other pc (with measurements) is packed up right now. PM beno and ask him to measure the one he has. I'd made it from UHMW for the 80.

My X-Line fairlead measures 21-22mm (this is the ID of the fairlead where the winch line is).

Heck I didn't think there was any 'correct' size so to speak. I just cut and routered out what appeared to be a proper size hole. Oh and I did mine out of the same shizznit as Junk. Dat is some tough stuff to cut, gums up a router in a great big hurry ended up using a drill press with a forster bit.

Here is a pic with some dimensions. If the dimensions are not clear -

Hawse Overall 2 3/4" X 11 3/4"
Hawse opening 7/8" W X 7 1/4" L
Hawse bolt centers 9 15/16"

Roller Fairlead Opening Back 3/4" X 7 5/8"
Roller Fairlead Bolt Centers 10"
Between Rollers Front 7 1/8"
