Will these fit my 80?

Depends on where you wanna put them!

I picked up a set off CL locally, and they were a direct fit. But... they are a different offset/backspacing (I always get these two confused), so you'll have a slightly narrower track width.

It’s confuses me terribly with the offset and back spacing specs. The wheels that were on the truck when I bought it are 18” rockstars (I know, that’s why I am changing them) so I don’t know if I’ll need a spacer or what with these new wheels. I run 35” tires.

Use this chart to help calculate. The factory 80 wheels are 16x8 +/-0mm offset (4.5" BS)

Thanks! I guess the issue is I don’t know the backspacing and offset of the current wheels.

You can measure the BS by removing the wheel and use the measurement tape on the backside from the contact patch to the edge of the rim.

Did those come off a Tacoma?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure they're from the newer Tacoma TRD package. The only problem is they have high positive offset and sit narrower than the factory 80 wheels.

I'm thinking you will likely need 1.5" spacers to clear the hubs properly, and at that maybe even a little die grinder work. Really shouldn't be much of an issue though. Make sure you get the right lug nuts too. (I'm sure you probably already know that)

Thanks guys.

I don’t do much wheeling but do get to camp a few times a year. Ideally I’d want the outside wall of tire to be about equal to the fenders.

I didn’t know about the lugs. Which ones will I need?

You have to check on the wheels. They might use the acorn style lugs.

Those are the off-road package wheels from '16 model year and newer Tacoma. Offset is 15mm 25mm.
They use the standard planar face lug nuts.

I got the original Tacoma lugs that were used with the wheels. Will they work?
