Will bad pcv valve foul plugs quicker?

Just wondering I know it's getting time to go through the head soon, and maybe re-ring, depending on condition, I foul plugs quite often with oil buildup on electrodes. I noticed that my pcv valve and grommets are shot, would this increase frequency of fouling or am I totally off here? Thanks in advance

If you PCV valve is shot, and has been for some time, I would recommend cleaning things up a bit with the seafoam treatment. This will help remove any build up of carbon. With a new PCV/grommet and after seafoaming.....I would replace the plugs, run for a short while and then see how the plugs look.

Not to hijack the thread, but those of you that desmogged, how did you run you PCV. I recently picked up my 40 and the PO desmogged the motor, along with putting a weber 38 mm on it. The tube for the PCV is there, but no PCV valve is currently present. I am picking up where the PO left off. Would outting a pcv valve in that tube coming from the crankcase and then to a small k&n filter suffice?

How is that?....The proper way I mean mine is run from the valve straight into the intake...actually I don't even know if mine is a valve or just some weird fitting

i picked up a PCV valve and then my new air filter assy arrived today (K&N)
it had an adaptor in the parts bag the the PCV hose conects to.

The new PCV I picked up is a straight valve, not a 90 degree. Might be what yours is as well.

Ive got a blow-by problem on my 302 the guy at the parts store said that a new pcv valve could help. I replaced the pcv valve which is on the driver side valve cover and is rerouted to a 4way that has vacume fittings and is tapped into the intake behind the carb (distributer is on the front for the 302). There is another line that is routed from the passenger side valve cover to the under side of the air filter.

That got wordy... anyhow should i put another pcv on the passenger side valve cover or is that pointless?
