Bought this 60 recently.

It is in need of a proper lift kit....I would like to stick with OME's.
Will it be enough lift for the tires ??

Current setup, 35 MTR's add a leafs with extendo shakles.

nope. not cleanly anyway. i have OME heavies/mediums + their longer shackle with a 1" body lift and i rub in the rear inner wheel well where the frame meets the body and on the front lower lip of the front fender and i only have 34x12.5s.

and look at this - the red area is where this guy had to sawzall to avoice from rubbing

nice clean 60 !!!!!!!!!!!

I test drove some 35" BFG m/t's on my OME Dakar sprung 60 with 2" longer than stock shackles.
Front tires hit the mud flap brackets on tight turns on the street without hitting any bumps. I know it wouldn't get it off road. Close to being ok, but just not quite right. Maybe add a couple inches body lift and it would be ok.

I've got a better idea for you....I'll send you my 33 BFG MTs and you send me those ;)

I already asked him about them in the other thread :) He he

From all I can tell no. You might be able to fit them with the OME and SR and a small BL. Other wise its not gunna happen.

BS on rims will be huge in this as well. I am installing my 4" Alcan lift now and from what I have been told it will be a tight fit, and that a small BL would be optimal.

Keep us posted and I am serious about the tires. :)

Yes, they can fit.

I have the OME 2.5 lift purchased through MAF with the shackle reversal kit for about a 4" lift. Yes, 35" MT/Rs fit without cutting. I do rub with extreme articulation, but no body or tire damage.

It's a great combination...

accasbel, where do u get the rear bumper? That is really sleek!

It's from Kaymar, dual pivot model... I really really really like it, but wish I'd got the tire and jerry can on opposite sides. I need to take the time to get a good welder to take care of that.

Remember that you're running a super swamper which measures to a true 34 and the MTR measures to 34.8 according to Goodyear but I've seen a couple that run much smaller. If not you're still talking about less than 1/2 inch taller.

did some light wheeling with this setup yesterday..
35 MTR's add a leaf front and rear...2.5" shackl from SOR...

great ride, good shackle angles..

actually didn't rub much at all, nothing that would cause damage anyhow. most rubbing when wheel was cranked.

Nice looking truck and that rear bumper looks sweet. I really like the ARB for the front, but I haven't decided what I want for the back and I hadn't seen the Kaymar before. It looks like it sticks out a little in the back, any issues with your departure angle?

I'm also in the proccess of exploring my options for lift and tires on my 85 FJ60 with old 31x10.5s and dead inverted stock springs. Your OME 4" kit with 35 MT/Rs combination looks like a good option. If you had to do it over again, would you pick the same setup?

Thanks. Yea, I have overhang issues. The rear bumper will drag, but the bumper has taken many drags & drops without failure. I've never been hung up on it.

I am very happy with the setup, so yes, I'd do it again. The sprung-under leafs protect the steering, it rides well, and is stable. I don't get as much flex as a sprung-over, but that's ok, everything is a trade off. The one change, as I stated before, would be to swap the gas & tire carrier sides.

could you PLEASE take some pics of your shackle reversal mounting/welding along with how you mounted the ARB bumper? Is it from Man - A - Fre???
