will a f header fit a 2f?

Will a header off of a 1f fit on a 2f? 73 fj40 mid 80s 2f with a 3 speed.

I would think so. Which header do you have? I have SOR's 2 peice header, and it lists it as fitting 68-84 engines.

I have a friend of mine that has a low mileage header for $75 but he thinks it came off of a f motor.

i put a header off a 2f on a f motor and it fit no problem..... bolt patterns are the same

may have to enlarge the bolt holes, as 2F head studs are slightly larger then 1F...

My F header fit my 2F no problem. I did end up having to grind the welds down where the header was attached to the collector so it would fit flush against the block with my manifold, but I had that problem with both engines.

only thing that might be an issue is the bolt hole diameter, but many headers are oversized a bit and might squeeze on, if not, drill them out.
