Will 285/70/17 + OEM TRD PRO wheels clear body mounts or not?

Very simple question in the title.
Will these wheels (they are 7" wide and have +4mm offset) and let's say 285/70r17 Wildpeaks 4 clear body mounts or not?
I know it will not clear plastic - but I already replaced steps with slides and on my way to cut front bumper as well, so plastic is not an issue.
Also I have 1" of lift.
Offset of these wheels will definitely clear UCA.
So the only question remains - will it clear BM or not? Please consider offroad situtaion (full lock, compression, etc, not just straight driving).

I do _not_ want to cut any piece of metal designed by Toyota engineers (especially such safety-critical ones as body mounts).

Thank you in advance for replies.

They will probably rub, especially with only 1" lift. Some folks on here don't have rubbing, but most do. I definitely had minor rubbings with 285/70R17 Wildpeaks and did a BMC.

BUT, a BMC is no big deal. You just lop off the protruding steel beyond the actual rubber mount and weld on a thicker plate across the cut. The body is still well-supported and the vast majority of Toyotas running on 33s or larger have had a BMC. If you don't want to do a BMC, then just stick with no larger than a 275/70R17 tire.

^ what he said.

I'll add that if you go with suspension w external reservoirs, you'll likely rub the reservoirs if you don't get wheel spacers.

Thank you, exactly information I was looking for!

In that case I will use wheels with more positive offset and with skinnier tires (think pizza cutters) and still will have 33" in result - that I aready digged in internet that it does not rub.

Regarding external reservoirs - thanks, useful info, in the future I plan to add 2.5" Dobinsons IMS suspension which to my knowledge does not have external reservoirs.

They will clear and not rub so long as you don't turn your steering wheel. :p
Seriously, yes they will rub. Maybe a little around town, but if you're serious about trails and off roading, just do the BMC. It's pretty quick and not very expensive.

It should clear without needing BMC but:
1. Need to max LCA caster. Move it as far forward as possible. Finding good alignment shop might be a bit difficult.
2. Need to move fender liner forward. Heat gun and zip ties to make more room in front.
3. Not tire that have aggressive side lugs. Most AT would not cause this issue.

I run 255 80 17 at stock height and 0 offset without needing any BMC. It fully clear at max articulation except the inner frame at max steering angle.
285 are a bit wider but shorter OD.

As with any modifications, there are no guarantee and you need to commit to it. If you not willing, then please stay stock.
