Someone posted last night bragging about the $hit load of money they make. It was edited this morning. Don't remember who it was. I think that was the turning point.

ML63 for the wife. Love the decision. Depreciation hit has been taken. I've bought many nice 2-3 year old cars.

Awesome. I just can't buy brand spanking new knowing the first year you take the biggest hit. and the guy who had it before only put 2,300 miles on it. He traded back to Mercedes for a SLS AMG. Good for me, saved almost 20k it smells and looks like showroom new.

sorry for the poor pictures

Very nice. Exhaust sounds awesome right? Nothing like a normally aspirated performance motor.

I'll try and get a video clip of the exhaust. It's freaking awesome. In normal driving mode the vehicle starts in 2nd and in sport mode it starts in 1st and flipping launches. It has Eco start/stop mode but you can disable it completely via settings or make it active when you know you're going to be hitting allot of stop lights or sit in traffic. But around here that's pretty rare.

No need to bash Porsche lol. ;)

I have a 2013 911 C4S... dealership was nice once they knew I was serious about the purchase and it has "knock on wood" been running like a champ. 4 wheel drive on the 911 is just awesome up here in Portland.

You'll need to be a multi millionaire because Porsches are in the shop allot but the biggest problem with Porsche is their onsite customer service. I was totally floored how we I was treated as soon as I walked in. I was dressed like I just finished mowing the lawn. Go to Porsche and wait for some random person to help you and they always seem to be short staffed. Walk I to the main entrance of MB and it's like 1st class hotel treatment.

The sales guy asked me if I was trading in my 200 and just laughed a little and said "never". I love my rig.

No no, I wasn't bashing Porsche as I love the cars especially the GTS models but of the times I've visited different dealerships my wife and I always felt the sales staff were snobs, could careless if we bought or not and you have to search them out in order to get help. I shouldn't have to look or act like a serious buyer to impress them enough to get help but Mercedes treated me like I was an important customer even though I walked in like I just finished doing some yard work and immediately asked if they could bring me a drink. Bonus, they will hand wash your car anytime at no charge. My dream car is the new 918 Spyder. When the kids are in college, on my list is a 911 turbo or SL65 :-)

Don't take it personally as the world doesn't revolve around you.

pdx, siq ride. I have a 2008 GT3.

When I'm spending a 100k+ the World does revolve around me if the sales associate what's to make money. I've trained many sales associates before starting my own business and the one thing you teach them, is make sure you're treating any potential client as if they were an A-list celebrity, especially if your income depends on the client buying from you. So yes, at that moment the world does revolve around the client in order to be successful. How do you want to be treated when you're at nice restaurant? Should you walk around and ask for a waiter to bring you your drinks and food or do you except a certain level of service?

it's not rocket science. that's all great in theory but we're all human beings. we have our off days. relax in your luxury suv.

No need to get nasty with each other or show off.
I certainly agree with Angelo1. When you're spending gobs of money on something I want to treated with respect. It's one of the things that pisses me off with Toyota. You spent 80K on and LAnd Cruiser and they could not care less. It might as well be a corolla.
The problem that I find with cars salesman or service assoc. is that most are not "Car Guys." Many of us know way more than them and they frown upon us working on our trucks.
Example with the service MANAGER
"Sir, my Drivers side CV boot is leaking on my Land Cruiser."
"how do you know it's leaking?
"There's CV grease all over the strut."
His answer, "front or back." UGH
I'm never rude or impolite but I think my Toyota dealership has my face on a dart board somewhere.

I certainly agree but more than once gets a little old and regardless of brand/cost of vehicle or where you eat, the service industry needs to start getting better at "servicing" customers. No excuse for poor customer service. People that go to work with emotional baggage or poor attitude need to put on big boy pants and buck up. Tired of people with excuses and wonder why they have limited growth potential, yet complain they don't make enough. But let's leave the subject for another forum.

P.S I so relaxed that every day begins and ends with a smile ;-)

Agreed, we are all friends here! Love the GTS models... 2008 911 GTS is awesome.

I think the problem with Porsche is that they are still approachable to the average person at 100K, so they get LOTS of foot traffic in to kick the tires and ask for test drives. This is NOT the case in a Bentley or Ferrari dealership, where I'm assuming very few window shoppers come in.

Now about Toyota... my number one BEEF with them is that they treat the guy who paid 80K for his LC the exact same as the guy who spent 20K on his Corolla. That sort of stings.

Ps. Porsche does free washes on my car anytime I bring it in. = D

Thanks and that is hilarious! I had the same issue with my right CV boot leaking and the service guy looked dumb founded. I get they don't see allot of Land Cruisers but come on it's your best and most iconic vehicle you sell. They should know everything about it. It's funny that the real young guys who aren't the service tech who check me in know more about my 200 than the actual tech, so it seems. I will say the service center I found here in Colorado is pretty awesome "Mountain States Toyota". They have a short order cook with a small breakfast bar making pancakes, French toast, eggs, bacon on most occasions and serves coffee. How cool is that!

I would look at the 2014 Audi Q5 TDI. We have one in the family and it's unbelievably fast off the line. It's very solid, handles nicely, and looks great (Ibis White with Brown interior). We drove the Mercedes, BMW, and Porsche and all were nice. Having 465ft.lb tq on tap at 35MPG's was the ultimate selling point. The only problem I have with it is the transmission. Audi decided to jam a powerful TDI engine in a small SUV and mate it with a 8 Speed dual clutch transmission. At low speed the transmission is a bit clunky and lurches. Spirited driving it's simply jaw dropping. We average roughly 750 miles out of a tank.

The Mercedes, BMW and Porsche were all very nice. The only problem is the 3 manufactures were paying so much attention to what the other company was building they came out with the same car...the Audi was the only one that felt unique in power delivery, handling, and looks.

The Audi Q5 would make a great daily driver in my area and the TDI would be an added bonus. I haven't driven that version but the MPG sounds great.
