Seemingly identical trucks, yet one has windshield rest pads and the other does not. Where they an accessory? Are the hoods different?

I suppose my question was lost in my post. Are the hoods physically different or can the rest pads be installed on any hood? (and by ''can'' I don't mean literally but, as in factory form)
Hoods are different.
