I was under the impression that i needed a larger MC to make up for the extra volume needed to move the 4 runner calipers. Im concerned that my 1 1/16 MC might be too big for my current setup, would a MC with a bore too large cause me to be able to bottom out the pedal no matter how well the system is bled or how well adjusted the drums are? If so, who wants to trade a T-100 MC for a fourrunner?

Just the opposite: think of the ratio of the area of the MC piston to the sum of the areas of the 4RNR & rear pistons. The bigger the MC piston, the harder the pedal.
I'm watching this 'cause I want to do the same fronts & Eldo rears on discs.
Old backyard mechanic procedure for drum brakes is to tighten the star wheel as far as possible before backing off. Sometimes there's some kind of "hitch" in the mechanical linkage you get past (you'll hear it pop). When you're done you only hear a slight "hsss" once per revolution of the wheel. We didn't always have auto adjusters with their sometimes erratic behavior.
Ok, then i think im gonna just try and bleed the crap out of it then. I adjusted the drums like you said, crank the star wheel till its tight and then back off until it just drags. I may have to break down and have a shop power bleed it, im having a hell of a time here. Ive pretty much checked, adjusted, or replaced everything in the braking system, so i guess its just gotta be a nagging air bubble issue. Are 4runner calipers notorious for trapping bubbles like the eldorado calipers? Im gonna head out to the parking lot in a few minutes to bleed it again, hopefully for the last time for a while.
I installed 4 runner calipers and am still using the stock master cylinder. No problems with pedal travel. Works just fine for me.

Well, this afternoon i rebled the brakes and now i have a very crisp brake pedal. I got some bubbles, especially in the back and LSPV, and now its perfect. I guess i finally got my s*** worked out. I cant wait to hit the trails again, its gorgeous outside right now.
