At the Caltrain station in Burlingame today. Surely this person is on here:

That is some impressive fabrication. Did they just move the entire suspension aft, and extend everything? Need the deets!

That thing is badass. The Aussies love their Utes and for good reason.

There's an Aussie on YouTube who walks through the process. I don't remember the details but it was a pretty serious undertaking.

Yeah, the Ute tray was pretty amazing. The mod looked top notch. The only thing I noticed was that the wheels looked like a DIY rattle can job.

When I first saw it my mind just couldn't adjust. I thought - is it a 4runner or taco, and tundra. Even though I knew the front was definitely a 200, It was just so unexpected that I couldn't believe it. I have never seen a Ute in the states (on a 200 anyways).

Unicorn on American soil. I can't imagine what seeing one in person would be like. Pretty awesome you were able to spot one!

That’s amazing. Mud flap says Norweld. They make flat bed trays. Would really like to know more about this rig.

I think the crew up at Mule in Washington state does trays and canopies. I want to say they import Mits Alloy bits from Australia.

Mule did that Cruiser mod. I thought I remembered seeing photos of it, or something very similar on their fb page a while ago. Sure enough...January 12, 2021.

No wonder it looks so familiar, I think one of the guys on 4WD 24/7 had that same tray (but with a canopy added) on his maroon D-Max...

That's a sweet setup.

I seem to recall another Australian video on Youtube where a part of this mod was extending the frame and wheelbase.

It's definitely a Norweld tray. Mule used to sell their trays, they don't any longer. @gentimmy

Maltec is the answer if you have the coin.

I mentioned this sort of mod in a previous post. Folks here in the states are starting to chop them up and strip them down to bare bones and build them back up. I know a person that is cutting the roof off from the second row seats and back, custom roll bars and a soft top on the back. Doing a solid locking axle in the front. It's going to be a rock weapon. There is a chance if it's completed on time you will see it at Moab this year. My running joke is he is personally building the 300 series.

I wonder how it handles. One of my favorite parts of the 200 is the relatively nimble handling for a truck.
