2000 100 for sale in NC

2000 100 Champagne/Tan, 3rd row, Rear AC, Side Steps, 140K, STOCK. Michelin LTX's Stock Size... 75% tread. Has Fender Flares and deflector's off the truck (not that anyone on here cares...)

New Rear Brakes, New Alignment, Tires Balanced, Couple New O2's.

The only problem with the truck is that CD player won't play CD's... Everything else is great for it's age and mileage... driver's seat looks GREAT... and the interior is in fine shape all around. Exterior is very good, never been wheeled, just driven ONCE on the sand.

The truck spent it's whole life with one man, and he passed away two years ago, and his wife sold it to me this spring as my DD.

I love the truck, but I have the 60 for wheeling/camping, and I have a long commute to work now... so I need better mileage.

I'm asking $14,000 for a quick sale.

Man if I had my Tacoma sold I'd be all over that. What is Cedar Point close to?

We are across the bridge from Emerald Isle.

To the top.

Someone is going to be getting a nice cruiser at a great price...I already have a 1998 100 that I love, or I'd jump on it.
High book for your rig is $16,800. Low book is $13,800.

Thanks, I thought the price was fair.

To the Top, somebody interested?

I'm interested. How far are you from Va. Beach? Do you have any other maintenance history (coolant changes, tranny fluid change, tune ups, etc.)? Thanks.

We are three hours from VAB. I don't have much detail on the history, but the local dealer has records up to about 60K and not again until 125k.

Walton, I would be interested in your 98 100 if you are willing to do a good deal like 2LC.

Price Lowered to $14,000. Still for sale.

Tell us again what has been done; exhaust headers, starter, timing belt, etc? Undercarriage rust? Could you post the month of manufacture?

This is a NC truck. It has no rust.

I have no record of the Timing Belt or Starter being done, because I got the truck at 130K from the wife of the original owner. He had it service regularly, and I have had zero problems with it in the 15K I've put on it.

I had a quote to have the timing belt replaced at the local dealer and it was $550-600. (and everyone thought that was low).

As for the exhaust manifolds, they don't make hardly any noise.

The interior is very well kept, the exterior is above average for the miles and age...

It will need tires within a year. (varying wear on the 4).

I'd be willing to have the timing belt work done, but not at my loss.

They don't hardly make any noise? Does that mean the manifolds are cracked? The dealerships in the area would know if the timing belt was done; just call the one she took it to for service. The price at a dealer for the 90K service ranges from $1000-1400 depending on what they do or "find" when they are in there. Usually belts, water pump, timing belt, a few hoses, flush the radiator, etc. The manifolds as well as the starter, are big ticket items if done at a dealer.

How often is it on the beach... :D

It has been on the beach exactly once (see pictures). I have the 60 for the beach.

Gray, as for the big ticket items... like I said, the manifolds are notorious for having problems... mine don't make noise every startup... are they cracked? I don't know, but they are occassionally tick for the first minute if they feel like it.

The timing belt, if it was done, and I assume it was, was not done at a Toyota dealer. The owner is no longer alive... and the Toyota records go up until 60k, and then he took it somewhere private to have service done... I have asked the wife, and she has no records form that time.

I don't know what else to tell you regarding this. I called the local toyota dealership, and they quoted $550-600 for the timing belt job. I'm sure it COULD cost $1400 if they wild crazy and did anything they could think of... but the truck runs great, and I've had ZERO issues with it.

It needs a rear seatbelt (see thread in 100 section)... my new dog ate through it in a flash... but he is no longer allowed in the truck unless he is crated.

The price is still fair for the condition and the potential maintenance needed.

Bump for a nice 100.

Curious, what kinda mileage do these things get? 12?

Ali,
I have been getting around 14mpg here in town on 285's. I have only taken a couple highway trips, and got up to about 15.5 at my best, and 12 mpg worst (wife driving back from Carlsbad, getting the high headwinds a couple months ago).

Mine is a 99, but it should be about the same until the 03's, where they have a 5spd, vs the 4spd in 98-02.
