I am. I leave Thursday morning. Hitting the grand canyon, zion, bryce canyon, and then getting to Moab next Wed. morning. Running Fins and Things on thursday, Gold Bar Rim on friday, and Poison Spider Mesa on saturday.

I will be there...In my dreams :frown: ..Unless, of course you dont mind an outlaw on the trail :D

Next year I will register EARLY so I dont have to suffer the pain of staying home :crybaby:

On a lighter note...

I cant WAIT to hear recounts of the stories told by the campfire about the N74L

:D

You do not have to be registered. The trails are open for all. One just has to be considerate of the CM official trail rides. There are plenty of people to go out with.

I was under the assumption ( yeah, I know) that it was not cool to "crash" an event like that by showing up unregistered...I guess it would be more fun though to run the CM trails with all you guys...right ? ( HINT: say NO so I will be overly tempted and show up ;) )

I was actually thinking about runnin up there this weekend before the BIG event though :)

I'll be there Safety checking all your guys' trucks. Gunning Moab rim thurday, leading fins and things friday, and gunning hells revenge on saturday. Can't wait. :bounce2: :bounce: :bounce2: :bounce: :bounce2: :bounce:

I always encourage people to register. It supports the club, helps newbies to 4wheeling and Moab to get their feet wet etc etc. I would not say it is "not cool" to crash the event. It all depends on how you act and what your expectations are. You can always bum a ride on an official trail with someone registered. This will give you a feel of what happens on the official trail rides. Other times you can round up people and go and do your own thing.

The only thing that you have to be consious of is that the Rising Sun club has a permit from BLM to run the trails with a certain number of trucks per trail per day. We are responsible for the people on that trail, their actions and the treatment of the land. Now if you are a jackass and tool around in your Toyota and disrespect the trails, people and place, you might be seen by BLM or other people and be associated with Rising Sun and Cruise Moab. This will reflect badly on the club.

The trails in Moab are open, and you can run then when and with whoever you want. You can attend the event and not be registered. You will not get the full experience, but you will still have a blast. Then next year you know what you are in for and will probably sign up in Jan.

CM is more than the trail rides, it is meeting people, it is BS'ing around the camp fire. It is about the stories of the "rocks that got bigger" about the "lines I took" about the " one that got away". All that and more.

So, sorry the answer is Yes. You built that thing, now bring it and use it.

I concur with Dr. Slee. Moab is a fine event, with many fine people and stuff to do. If you look me up, I'll have a passenger seat open since my son can't join me this year. I'd be happy to have you ride. It is also highly likely that I will skip my Saturday run(Poison Spider), and you could go in my place if the organizers allow such things. Poison Spider is a good, moderate, wagon friendly trail.

I believe the Moderator here e999 rode through all of Cruise Moab with NorCalDoug last year and seemed to enjoy himself, so do not let the lack of a registration deter your trip to Moab. I agree you should be respectful of the runs, but running in a smaller group has it's rewards as well.

I'll not be there. (Clap clap from the crowd)

GregB will be though, and he'll represent the N74L mod for us. Go GregB! :D

Slee...you go the N74L setups ready to ship after CM? :D

Nope, we have some new N74S shocks that we are going to sell. Going into the lowrider mods. That with the Turbo would make a kick ass truck.

So, for those that are going to moab with 100's. Stop by the Spanish Trail camp and we will give you joyrides in the turbo 100.

Guys..
Thanks For making one feel so welcome to an event like CM , even if I slacked on getting registered this year. Yeah I agree with it is all a matter of having consideration for those who did register and who organized/are running the event, especially if you appear associated with them. I might go after all, of course staying low while mingling with the crowd ;)

Christo said it best...It more about meeting people than wheeling (but close!)

Peace !

I want a ride. If I don't fix the LX I'll bring it to you and you can loan us the Turbo 100.

So are you then coming?

I will be at CM, but with my 2 young boys it's not fair to take 'em out for any trails over an hour or so. I'll be visiting family there that week(end) coincidentally at the same time as CM.

I won't interfere at all with CM trails and have my own hidden trail jems that I like to do anyway. I did volunteer for a few things but havn't heard a thing back from Rising Sun.

i'll be there monday-sun

I'm bring my wife, 22 month old, 6 month old, running Hells revenge, goldbar rim, elephant hill. Happily representing the mall cruiser crowd. I didn't spend all that money to drive on the pavement.;p

I am loaded and pulling out in the morning :bounce:

P1010013.webp

Nolen, THAT is a setup. :D Have fun everyone!

I'll be there. Not registered. I have corporate meetings there Th/Fr:mad: But they are only in the AM:D I'll run a few trails in the afternoons and Saturday.

Not sure if I'm taking the 100 or the 40 yet. I'll probably crash the dinner/raffle. Best place in to see a TON of cruisers in one parking lot.:D

Hope to see some of you there!
