I'm considering Slee's new battery tray/compressor mount that's designed for the Interstate MT7-75DT but I can't find any MT7-75DT AGM batteries in stock anywhere. I found this place online:

Interstate Batteries AGM Batteries.

but the ordering process doesn't seem all that simple. Also, I don't know how long the wait would be after I make the purchase online since it seems like a special order battery.

Any leads?

Funny... I have the mount and I'm looking for the battery, too. Most interstate dealers do not have it in stock and have to order it. 3-5 days.
Anywhere from $250-$320 battery!! I can't seem to order it on-line. it says dealer only.

Interstate batteries and Walmart batteries are made by Johnson Controls, so I wonder if there is an equivalent of the MT7-75DT AGM that they carry.

I called my local Interstate battery center again and they had it in stock. They looked up the wrong part number the first time. I paid $280 out the door using a $10 off coupon on Interstate's web site for that particular branch.

That's like saying Quanta manufactures laptops for both Apple and HP, so I wonder if there's an HP version of the latest macbook. And no, there is no version of the MT7-75DT available at Walmart.

Eh, agree to disagree. For me batteries aren't a big deal. If they work, they work. All I know is that Napa uses East Penn/Deka batteries, which are praised as some of the best, and my purchases have shown. I have not had one fail yet on me due to manufacturing defects. I'm still running one in our backhoe from '09. I'm more speaking from a reliability standpoint.

But if you look, you will find most batteries in stores are from 4 major manufacturers. And those manufacturers have a record of reliability that correlates with their resellers.

I got stranded in Mexico on the way to gonzaga bay (before it was paved) when a battery failed on my tundra. It was working just fine before. AGMs have gone in all my cruisers since then.

Curious as to what brand? Unfortunately it seems a lot of manuf. are going downhill.

I think it was the original Toyota which was 4-5 years old at the time.

Did anyone find an alternative battery to fit the slee tray/compressor bracket? Something I can buy at an everyday store?

It looks like the tray will fit a group 27 battery of your choice.

Group 27? Really? That tray looks awfully small.

The Interstate battery is 9.5" long (grp 75) and a 27 is 12" long.
Wow, my bad.. I converted the Interstate dimensions to mm then plugged them into a U.K. Battery database (searching by size) and it pulled up all group 27 batteries. Is a euro spec group 27 different then US spec?

Looks like a 22F might work, just a tad tall. It's dimensions are 9.5 x 6.9 x 8.3

Wow that analogy is not even close.

Johnson Controls has manufactured many white label batteries for Sears, Interstate and others.

What are you doin with millimeters... you're in OK! :-)

Only website I found that I could search by size :p

Maybe @sleeoffroad could chime in and mention another battery size that would fit their tray. Or maybe this is the beginning thoughts of a redesign? I think it's kinda silly to build a battery tray around one specific manufacturers battery. Especially makes it harder when no one can find said battery.

Opening dimensions are

9.5" long 7.5" wide 8.5 " tall
