Back to reality for me ... just checked into the hotel in Staten Island. :crybaby:

Gig seemed to go pretty well I reckon. :meh:

My thanks go out to the Folks that helped ... and also to those that just showed' up too.

I'm thinkin' I'll prob'ly end up doin' it again next year so please feel free to offer up any suggestions or changes y'all like to see.

I just wish more Folks coulda showed up earlier and made it more than just a Saturday thang ... we sure had a lotta leftover food. :frown:

Just rolled back in to the casa. 2932 miles roundtrip with less than a 48 hour layover in Elwood just aint long enough. First 'change' is gonna be to our schedule.

Tina says next year she wants to have a toaster on hand, even if she has to bring it. I reckon that means she liked everyone enough to consider making the drive again!:bounce:

Hey Butch............

"What's up scrote?"

:flipoff2:

Thanks for all of yours & Josh's hard work getting this all together for a GREAT WEEKEND!! It was just relaxing being away from phones & work. Deb

BTW, could those of you who brought kids to the event double check with them to see if any of them found a car key with a remote clicker attached. I lost my car key early Saturday evening, scoured the camp fairly well Sunday morning [despite the rain] but had no luck finding it. :frown:This at least raises the possibility that I didn't find it because it was already picked up.

Thanks!

I was doing my typical job hunting this morning and thought about the horseshoe turney and decided to distract myself from the hunt to make this pic... enjoy

3464.9 miles later, we made it home about 12:40 am Tues nite/Wed morn... We did some adventurin' on the way home...

Had a great time & would/will make the trip again, even despite the "sick" husband!!! Only issue we had on the trip was a tire blow out but we caught it before any damage done to the car!!!

Thanks to all for all the hard work to put this event together!!!

We are so glad that you are enjoying it but I'm afraid it pales by comparison to the Baker's BBQ! That was some damn fine Texas BBQ right there! I'm sure we can work somethiing out on a recipe exchange. Now, the family recipe for lasagna (which you have not had yet) requires a top secret security clearance and knowledge of the super double top secret handshake...

Hey James, did you and the Old Man round up anything for me?
