Different topic. Are there members near-ish Ft. Bragg that's has a garage who always wants to do some wrenching? Next year, I have mechanical plans that I want (and need) to do to the LC. I'm novice/amateur at working on vehicles and need adult supervision.

I never claim to be an expert and work really slow. I never want to repeat an upgrade even though I've had to do some work multiple times. I'm in Holly Springs and have plans for a massive garage and two-post lift but the cost of wood is crazy and I can't seem to find a steel building with the right roof pitch.

I work on Bragg but live in Apex. I have a garage and be willing to help you out. Not much of an adult for supervision purposes though.

what I recommend is you figure out ahead of time what it is you want to do. Set a weekend (time and date) then a location and then post it up and do a club HAMOM — Help A Member Out Month.
uf you plan it ahead of time it gives other members an opportunity to plan to come and wrench either on their junk or to come help with yours.

in the meantime you research and order parts so you are ready to go in the day of.
aside from parts there is also other items that you can’t forget like

fluids
Special tools
Cleaning supplies
Gloves
Eye pro/ ear pro
Consumables - like grinding disks
Paint
And most importantly

BEER!!!!!!!!

I think mine might take more than a day. (Eventually) I'll be receiving the Wit's End Turbo. At that time I wanna clean up and change some engine components and others things.

I'm always planning, so it should be well in advance that I'll let everyone know. I would also plan to take a week or so of leave from work. So off the top of my head, it'll be more of a spring break/summer gig so afterwards I can take the family somewhere for allowing me me play with the LC.
