I'm considering using an architectural "cool" roof coating and am curious if anyone here has experience or thoughts on why these may be a bad idea, etc. Here are a few common examples:
My factory white 80 needs clean up of a few spots on the roof. After dealing with those I may apply a base/clear or single stage paint via spray but if I could get easier application, cooler roof temps, lower price and reasonable durability out of one of these alternatives then I'll likely try it. Bedliner is not an option for me because of how hard it is to remove and plastidip doesn't seem durable enough to justify the effort. I see folks using coatings like the above on campers/trailers but I've not found instances of folks using these on suv/cruiser roofs and I want to learn about the downsides before trying one of these out.
Thanks
