White-Knuckle Offroad Sliders

I contacted John at White-Knuckle Offroad to see if he has an AHC version. Not yet, but he was kind enough to offer me an undefined good deal if he could borrow my truck for a week to make me a set. Unfortunately he is 150 miles from San Diego. I am unable to transport my vehicle up there, leave it for a week and then retrieve it without a 2nd vehicle to use. My truck is my daily driver. If any of you AHC owners are near Apple Valley and want a set, contact John. I'm hoping he gets a set designed for the beginning of desert season here.

In searching other threads on sliders I noticed uzj100 got a set from Bump It Offroad. When I checked the Bump It website I noticed their LC 100 sliders now look the same as the White-Knuckle sliders (and no longer look like the ones uzj100 bought). Does anyone have experience with the new Bump It sliders or does anyone know what the difference is?

I don't know who John is but I got my new to me 2000 LX less than a month ago and would love some sliders so I can take it for a real test drive and worry less. I'm just across the desert in the Antelope Valley and might be able to spare it for a few days. If you have his email I might be willing to volunteer my rig.

I'm sure he would be down to making a AHC set. I have definitely used and abused these things since I got them a few weeks ago, needless to say, they can handle the abuse!

I hope you can work a deal boarderjab as I have pretty much decided on these sliders.

John is definitely up for doing the AHC version 2000UZJ, he just needs a truck to design to.

2nd part of my post... does anyone know anything about the Bump It sliders? They look very similar to these.

I will be taking my LX to him very soon and hopefully in just weeks the sliders will be available.

I would definitely snatch up a set.

you should drop it off to him ASAP so I don't have to wait too long

Round 1 done today. The Mock-up for the mounting brackets are done. Hopefully in a week or so a test fit will be done. And all will be good to go.

Test fit done.

 I hope to have them on next week. And than to plan some fun. :steer:

Nice, cant wait to get my own set!!

My cell phone camera did not do so good on the couple pictures that showed the mounts.:whoops: Next week when the finished sliders get installed I can take many more pictures. And will use a digital camera not the cell phone.

Agreed! Those look very nice!

has anyone thought about bedlining these things?

Depending on the texture but rough bedliner isn't so kind on bare calves.

From what i have heard, bedliner is not good for sliders. Its tough, but if you actually use your sliders, it will still come off, just like paint or powder coat

On a side note, my friend just repainted the sliders on his FJC with rustoleum bedliner (his powdercoat was f*****), the texture is perfect, as in not too rough to hurt you, but rough enough to grip with wet shoes. We are curious to see how well it holds up with the abuse he puts his sliders through.
