2000 to 2004 should interchange, right?

You better check to make sure the gear ratios are the same

For US market 100's:
00-02' has 4.3 ratio
03-07' has 4.1 ratio

But if you want new gears, Nitro makes them in the 4.3

New front diff from cruiserparts arrived last night. 70 pound box.

Manual calls for fpig on the diff cover. Do y'all think the red stuff is factory applied fpig?

Plan is to install it this weekend.

whine in front diff

I have same issue as euclid. However, mine did not start until i replace the front diff with a 05 part ( my cruiser is a 99). I still expeierence same noise only under a load (it stops when not under acceleration). My fluid levels are right. I am going to check u joints. If some one else has any ideas let me know. FYI my 99 front diff failed at 150k miles/tooth shered off during normal driving.
