which would you want?

I am trying to decide between two 100's. a well maintained 01 withe 158K. All maintenance done. newish tires. Will need leather in front before too long. Exterior paint with clear coat dings and scrapes, but not much through the clear coat except the tail gate where previous owner backed into light opole and creased it. cracked the paint and has a little rust developing.

OR

Well maintained 04 with 220K. Excellent interior. exterior is in great shape. new BFG AT's 3 months ago. There is really nothing wrong with the cruiser. Owned by a real cruiser guy who I look to for advice when I have questions about the '97 I have.

Both are sitting in my driveway. Just can't decide if the fewer miles are worth the cosmetic issues. Both have all maintenance records and drive great. the 04 is listed for $2500 more than the 01.

Wish I could afford to have them both.

well, thats 3-0 for the 2004 after being posted about 20 minutes. It really is a nicer rig. I am not a fan of the navigation system and display that is stock. I also prefer the knob controllers for A/C in the 01 vs the buttons in the 04. Not a real issue, just preference.

the 01 I bought a month ago, the 04 I am driving for the weekend because he just decided to sell it and has given me first dibs. I guess I need to list my 01 and negotiate the 04.

two months ago I didn't have a 100 series, now I have two! good problem...

Even though I love the '00-'02 years (see my sig), I'm gonna go with the '04. Maybe if the '01 was in better exterior condition I'd pick it, but from the way you describe it, the '04 looks better.

Another vote for the 04 (and another biased opinion . Love the 5spd with the 4.7, and probably better wheels. I wouldn't worry about the miles.

'04 definitely. 5-speed, 18" wheels, VASTLY upgraded safety features, VGRS, etc. I've had both, and the '03 up is just an all-around superior vehicle (I currently have an '00, so I DO like them both; however, you asked us to "pick one," so we have)

well, I got the 04 and have a buyer for the 01. I think my biggest hesitation in the 04 is the nav/radio/dvd system. I wish it would connect via bluetooth to my phone so I could play my XM through it. Any thoughts?
