Which Winch?

What type of vehicle do you drive?

A 2,000 lb winch is typically only used on an ATV. Get stuck in anything more than a flat and smooth slick muddy field and you will stay stuck.

And a steel cable that small on any vehicle larger than an ATV is apt to break. You don't just have to deal with the rating of the winch, but also the weight of your vehicle.

It's a 2001 toyota celica. Very light.

Here are some uses for this in my mind:

ATV pull.
Shrub Pull.
Pull concrete slabs out of the ground.
Lift my motorcycle.
Etc.

I don't expect much from this little guy. It's just for casual and occasional use. I will not be mounting this to a vehicle. I'll be tethering to a solid object, like a tree or even a trailer hitch.

Which one do you advise? Thanks!

x2 for neither, unless you have an atv to put it on.

Agree with the other replies. Please be careful. You can overload a small winch like that pretty easily, and the cable snapping can still do major damage. Get a big boy and have fun hoisting your rice burner up an oak tree! I have a 9k for a 100, and I have to be cautious...
